Claudio Guti on Vía X: “The Metaverse Is a New Economy, and Chile Can’t Afford to Fall Behind”

The founder of MetaJungle Plus appeared on Not News, hosted by Nicolás Larraín, where he spoke about artificial intelligence, interactive immersive experiences, and how the company is positioning Chile at the forefront of the metaverse in Latin America.

Claudio Guti — founder of MetaJungle Plus — was invited to Not News on Vía X, a program hosted by Nicolás Larraín, to discuss the present and future of the metaverse, artificial intelligence, and how these technologies are radically transforming the way we live, work, and connect with one another.

“We realized this wasn’t just a trend. The metaverse and AI represent a new economy,” stated Guti, emphasizing that projects are already underway integrating these technologies into areas such as retail, human resources, healthcare, and training — all through interactive immersive experiences that connect people with brands, ideas, and knowledge in virtual environments.

A Chilean City in the Metaverse

One of the major milestones Guti shared was the creation of the first Chilean virtual city within the metaverse — a corporate space featuring offices, auditoriums, and more, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Andes Mountains. “We wanted to prove that innovation, creativity, and leadership in this new digital world can also come from Chile,” said the founder of MetaJungle Plus.

AI and the Metaverse: Complementary Technologies

During the interview, Guti explained how MetaJungle Plus is already integrating artificial intelligence into its developments. “A year ago, no one was talking about AI. Today, if you’re not integrating it, you’re falling behind. We’re combining the best of both technologies to design interactive immersive experiences that deliver real impact for people and organizations.”

And What About Human Labor?

In response to concerns about automation, Guti was clear: “This doesn’t eliminate jobs — it transforms them. We’re actively seeking architects, UX designers, business engineers, and new professional profiles who understand this shift. This is an industry that, according to global consulting firms, will generate 900 trillion dollars in the next eight years.”

Risks and Challenges: The Importance of Regulation

The conversation also touched on the risks associated with the metaverse — including privacy, child exposure, and the current lack of regulation. “Today, anyone can create an avatar using your face and voice. Regulation is urgent, but we must also encourage ethical self-regulation, especially when it comes to children,” he warned.

The Future Is Now

The interview ended with a powerful reflection: “Chile was falling behind, but now we’re putting it on the metaverse map. Brands no longer just want to sell — they want to learn, experiment, and be part of the change.”
